Daily update 12th June 2020 – Years 10 & 12

We are finalising our preparations today for welcoming back our Year 10 and 12 students in bubbles from Monday.  Any parent who has requested in school face to face support should have received information about phase one earlier this week.  Please only send your son/daughter to school on the day that it says in your letter.  If you have not told us that you wish to access a place in school for phase one then please do not send your son/daughter to school as we will not be able to accommodate them at this stage.  A student briefing has been recorded with key safety information and this will be available for students to access on their Year 10 tutor team and year 12 year team from 11.30am today.  We would recommend that you watch this video briefing with them so that you can all be reassured of the routine and safety measures that are in place.  If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by responding to this email.

For those students whose parents have requested online face to face support we are finalising those plans too and will be in touch early next week with the plan for them.  I am sure you will appreciate the amount of work that has gone into the in school face to face provision and the safety critical element of that so I thank you for your patience.  Online face to face support will not have the same level of safety critical planning so I anticipate a final plan will be in place shortly.

Remember to keep sending us information (and photos if they will let you) to share what your son/daughter has been up to.  We don’t share them all on social media but we do share with staff and we are keeping a note of who is doing what so that we can celebrate the achievements together at some point in the future.  It always brightens up our day.
