Daily update 5th June 2020 – Morning everyone. It’s the end of the first week of term 6. This week is normally a really busy week as it is usually packed full of external exams as well as teaching all year groups, planning for September and everything that goes into that. This week this year has presented us with new challenges to tackle, which has been interesting!
Year 10 & 12
I will write to parents of Year 10 and 12 students separately later today with an update on our offer for face to face support.
Year 9
You will receive an email today with the confirmation of options courses for September for your son/daughter.
Quiz
It’s Friday so that means quiz night! The quiz starts at 7pm this evening. The code for this week is 387566. This quiz will continue, in the current format until the end of this term, then the overall winner will receive their prize. Robert is currently writing 3 quizzes for different groups so it is becoming rather a lot for him. A lot of people from both this quiz and one he does on a Tuesday evening have requested that they continue when the restrictions lift as they are enjoying them so much so he has decided to merge the two quizzes. The merged quiz will take place on a Tuesday evening at 8pm at the end of the term. Helen has set up a quiz group on Facebook and you can be added to the group by emailing helen.gordon26@outlook.com. The codes will be sent through this group rather than my daily update although I will remind people every so often of how to join this quiz if they wish.
