Daily update 30th June 2020 – I hope you are all well.  The start of phase 2 yesterday went safely and smoothly overall.  The students and teachers are now settling into a new routine for the remainder of the term with the students in school and balancing that with remote learning for all.

We have been pleased to send out so many certificates of achievement to students in Years 7, 8 and 9 to those who have shown their teachers that they have been engaging and trying really hard in lockdown to continue to make good progress.  Well done to all of those students, and their parents, who are doing their best in difficult circumstances and have managed to maintain good learning routines – we do appreciate how difficult this must be at times.

Virtual Celebration Assemblies

We will be holding celebration assemblies virtually this year for Years 7 to 10 and 12 on Monday 20th July. Timings for these are below and we hope that your son/daughter will join us in their year team at these times.  Usually we are not able to invite parents along to these events as there isn’t space for everyone in the Hall at school but you could join your son/daughter online at this time if you wish.  We will also be recording these events so you could watch it at a time convenient to you if you are not able to join us live.  We have scheduled these at 45 minute intervals but we don’t anticipate that they will be quite this long in reality.

Year 7 – 9:30 -10:15

Year 8 – 10:15 – 11:00

Year 9 – 11:00 – 11:45

Year 10 – 11:45 – 12:30

Year 12 – 12.00- 12.45

Take care everyone.

With very best wishes,

Jo Tunnicliffe
