Daily update 3rd June 2020 – Morning everyone! The sunshine appears to have gone away for now and that can often dampen our moods but, if there are any gardeners amongst you, I’m sure you will be pleased that the rain will water your gardens – there is always a bright side, sometimes you just have to look harder for it.

Year 10 & 12
Thank you to all of the parents that have completed the survey so far. If you haven’t I would be most grateful if you could do so by 12 noon today please so that we can have a full picture and start planning this afternoon. If you have asked questions through the survey we will ensure they are also answered directly to you either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. We have already responded to questions raised on Monday. We’ll be in touch again as soon as possible once a plan is complete, having taken all of the information from you and from staff into consideration.

Year 9 options
We are almost there with this! Mr Robinson and Miss Warburton have done a great job phoning parents where we have had some queries and subjects that wouldn’t quite fit. We are waiting for responses from just 4 students/parents now and will be running this through today and sharing with our heads of department. On Friday we will create an individual letter with the confirmation of subjects that you will continue to study, on top of English, Maths, Sciences, from next week. Staff will start to create the new teams for these on Monday. Thank you again for your patience and understanding with this.

Year 11 & 13
We are still here for you! We are continuing with our support for all Year 11 and 13 students who are still able to contact their tutors for any support they need. Mr Bains and Miss Yarsley are organising a prize draw for those Year 11 students who engaged really well with the Futures work in term 5. Students who are returning to us in our 6th form from September continue to work on their transition/bridging work in their chosen subjects.

#CovidTeenHeroes

Abby has been out with her family in the evening collecting rubbish and separating it between recycling and rubbish. This week they collected two full bin bags, 5 towels and a pair of trunks in just half an hour! Well done for supporting your community Abby.

Please keep sending us your pictures and stories of what you have been doing.

With very best wishes,
