Daily update 24th April 2020 – Somehow we have arrived at Friday again so that means it is quiz night!

Quiz
This Friday’s quiz code is 125282. The link once again is https://myquiz.org/. If you have any questions or would like to suggest a themed round then please email helen.gordon26@outlook.com. The winner of the quiz each week can contact Helen on this email to receive their prize. Good luck!

Year 11
Letters were sent yesterday to those students who had applied to 6th form. Miss Warburton tried to phone a few people to talk this through and wasn’t able to contact everyone. If your son/daughter has not received a letter via their school email and is expecting one, please contact Miss Warburton on kate.warburton@nkacademy.co.uk. If your son/daughter had not made an application and would now like to apply, please contact Miss Warburton; we do have limited spaces left on most courses at the moment.

Students have been asked to reply to the email they have been sent to confirm their acceptance of their place. We would ask that they do this as soon as possible please.

Trips and Visits
We have now successfully contacted the travel provider with regard to the Year 8 visit to Germany. We have, unfortunately, had to make the decision to cancel this trip due to the unprecedented circumstances that we find ourselves in. An email has been sent to all parents of children on this visit with further details. We are still working with the travel provider and our insurance company for this visit.

Some of you have asked about the London visit for Year 12. Further information will come out to you in the next few days about this visit.

There are no further updates available yet for the PSV trip in October, as this is too far away, time-wise, at the moment for any decisions to be made.

I hope you have a lovely weekend. Remember there are Art and Dance competitions to get involved in (see previous updates, available on our website) to keep everyone entertained. Please keep sending through what you are all doing so we can share these #CovidTeenHeroes.

With very best wishes,

Jo Tunnicliffe
