Advice for parents and carers working from home from Lincolnshire County Council

Lincolnshire County Council have sent us some information about a package they have put together to support parents and carers who are working from home. The link to this can be found below and the topics covered is bullet pointed below.

Year 11 Prom
In the current situation I’m afraid that we have had no choice but to cancel the original date for the Year 11 Prom. Once the restrictions have been lifted and we know when schools etc will reopen, then we will book another date for the Year 11 celebration and prom. I know you will be disappointed with this news, but I am committed to supporting this event once we are able to do so, at a later date. We will let you know when the new date is booked.

Access to National Theatre Collection
In response to the school closures caused by Coronavirus, National Theatre are offering free access to their National Theatre Collection for a temporary period. This includes:

Access information can be found in the attachment to the email sent on 9th April.

What has your son/daughter been doing that they or you are proud of?
We would love to hear from you if your son/daughter has been doing something that has helped you or the community. Have they been making the family meals? Have they been phoning an elderly relative? Have they been taking care of younger siblings whilst you’ve been working? Have they been planting seeds in the garden? Have they done some shopping for someone in need? Have they donated food to the foodbank? These are just some of the things that they might have got themselves involved in. We’d love to hear from you and them about what they have been doing in these strange and difficult times.

myQuiz is an online service for holding contests and quizzes in real time. Create your own quiz, display it and hook up players from their mobile phones. The questions will show up on the screen, then participants can see them and answer them straight from their phones.

My next update will be on Monday 13th April as I take a few days off to dig the garden, paint some walls and spend some time with my family.

Stay safe everyone. Don’t eat too much chocolate all in one go!
