Contract: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus training days)
Salary: NJC Scale Point 9 £27,294 pro rata
North Kesteven Academy seeks a suitably qualified and experiencedscience technician to support our science department.
Working closely with the Head of Science and the teaching staff, you will coordinate and manage the Academy’s practical science delivery in accordance with the CLEAPSS guidelines, COSHH legislation, and Academy policies. You will source, create and deliver resources and materials to support practical lessons and curriculum planning. Our science department offers a supportive team environment and your enthusiasm and ideas will be welcomed by the teaching team.
The successful candidate will be an experienced science technician with a thorough in-depth knowledge of CLEAPSS and current health and safety legislation relevant to science in schools. You will be a personable team player, flexible in your approach, a creative thinker and problem solver. You will be able to demonstrate a strong affinity for working with young people, and the commitment to help continuously improve our science offer to students, including through extra-curricular activities.
