40 students from Year 7-9 attended the England v Belgium football match at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday 26th March in what was England’s last game before Euro 2024.
An exciting 2-2 draw was watched by over 80,000 fans, which included some of our students first ever visit to the magnificent Wembley Stadium. Students got to see Real Madrid’s England midfielder Jude Bellingham score a 96th minute equaliser sending the Wembley crowd wild after Ivan Toney had scored a trademark penalty before a Youri Tielemans goal gave a strong Belgium team, including ex-Chelsea and Man Utd striker Romelu Lukaka, a 2-1 lead.
Premiership stars Phil Foden, John Stones, Declan Rice and 18 year rising star Kobi Mainoo were all on show in a vibrant Wembley, with the Belgium fans certainly adding to an exciting atmosphere as the England fans wished their team good luck at Euro 2024!

Take a look at another positive outcome from the recent Challenge Partner review:

'Leaders have introduced a behaviour curriculum as part of their revision of the behaviour policy. Pupils are now explicitly taught expected behaviours. Teachers spend time explaining and modelling positive behaviours to classes to help embed good practice and support pupils’ success. Staff receive ongoing CPD related to high expectations of pupils, with staff briefings having become increasingly focused on strategic, proactive approaches. As a result of these refinements there has been an increased clarity around the systems in place. There is a more consistent approach across the school.'
