North Kesteven Academy is proudly hosting another medical conference – October’s free interactive conference is designed for Year 12 students from the East Midlands, who are interested in studying medicine.
Almost one in four exams sat by students at a North Hykeham sixth form resulted in A* and A grades this year. Students at the North Hykeham Joint Sixth Form achieved an overall pass rate of 95% in A levels and BTEC equivalents this year – with 60 per cent attaining A to C grades.
7 year 10s and 2 year 9s enjoyed 3 days at a Medical Summer School at Leicester University. All of them thoroughly enjoyed the experience, sampling what it might be like to attend a Medical School. Activities included using real medical equipment; they saw first hand the day in the life of a doctor.
Georgina Adam has officially been selected to represent England at the U20 Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas on 19th – 23rd July in the 200m. She is having a fantastic season running a PB of 24.00 seconds at Sportcity Manchester.

On Thursday 22nd June our champion poets (Ella Moir, Joseph Payne and Molly Inkpin) attended the Final of this year’s Slam Jam 2017 competition at the Lincoln Drill Hall. Although we did not emerge as overall winners our students delivered powerful and highly accomplished performances.
