This is an exciting opportunity for Year 10 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition students to showcase their skills via a pop Up Restaurant at North Kesteven School on 7th July 2017. This will be run by former NK student Danny Gill, owner of Browns Pie shop and a finalist in BBC’s ‘Great British Menu’, and Kimberley Allen.
The event will consist of a celebration evening where the students, guided by Danny Gill, will turn the school restaurant into a “pop up” restaurant where they will prepare and serve professional standard food to invited guests.
The event will be planned and all preparation will be completed during school time. The event will take place after school from 6pm until approximately 8pm. Each student will be given two tickets to sell to parents, carers or other family members who would like to come. This opportunity will allow students to experience working in the catering industry and will enhance their knowledge and understanding in preparation of the Year 11 practical examination next year.
