RE: Year 10 ‘How can I support my child to succeed at GCSE?’ Event – Thursday 29th November, 6-7pm
As Year 10 students embark upon their GCSE studies, Mrs Tunnicliffe and I warmly invite you and your son or daughter to an evening designed to motivate and inspire actions that we know will make a difference to your child’s GCSE grades. The earlier that these positive actions became part of your child’s working habits then the more likely it is that they will see success. Good study habits can be developed via your support at home, working in conjunction with the school, in order to make a measurable difference in how well prepared students are for examinations.
Beginning at 6pm, Mrs Tunnicliffe and I will share with you the importance of several key working habits that will make a positive impact upon your child’s achievement. In addition to this, our Maths, English and Science teams will then be available to model what GCSE revision and preparation should look like in their subject, which will also involve looking at our online platforms and how these might be used most effectively.
The evening will end at 7pm, with the aim that the process of preparing effectively will have begun in earnest.
