There were lots of smiling faces when our sixth-form students opened their A-level results today (Thursday).
A-level results at the North Hykeham Joint Sixth Form (shared between NK Academy and Sir Robert Pattinson Academy) improved again this year, and the numbers of A* to B grades increased to 31%.
Nearly 60% of all A-level grades were A* to C and the overall pass rate A* to E was 93%.
Our Headteacher Jo Tunnicliffe said: “We are delighted with an excellent set of A-level results and a continuing high level of performance in vocational courses.
“A number of departments achieved a 100% pass rate and we are particularly proud of our Art department with 75% A* to B, Mathematics who achieved 67% A* to B, Business where 92% achieved A* to C, and English Language 80% and Language & Literature 83.3% A* to C.
“Sociology and Psychology both achieved well with 77% and 59% A* to C respectively, and Health and Social Care achieved 82% A* to C.
“We are phenomenally proud of the hard work, determination and dedication of both students and staff. We wish all our students the best of luck for the future plans.”
Helen Renard, Headteacher at Sir Robert Pattinson Academy, said: “This is another great year for the North Hykeham Joint Sixth Form. The results are testament to the hard work of students and staff; we are exceptionally proud of our students and look forward to seeing them go out and make their mark on the world – whether in continuing education or in new careers.”
