We were thrilled to be able to host the prestigious Lincolnshire Media Golden Apple Education Awards last night (Monday 2nd July).
Our sports hall was transformed into an Oscar-style venue for the evening as 200 guests joined us for the awards, which showcase the best teachers and schools in Lincolnshire, highlighting their academic and creative achievements.
The dazzling ceremony began with an acapella performance from our sixth form performing arts students, which blew the audience away.
The awards were hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Melvyn Prior and we were delighted to be one of the main sponsors alongside the University of Lincoln, Siemens, Bishop Grosseteste University and Lincolnshire County Council.
Our Headteacher Neil Wilkinson-McKie proudly presented the Primary and Secondary Young Performer awards, which were sponsored by NK Academy.
Sarah Taylor, one of our PE teachers, and Year 10 student Ethan Grace-Riches were both shortlisted for awards and we are incredibly proud of their achievements.
We’d like to extend our congratulations to all the winners and all those who made the shortlist. We had a truly incredible evening celebrating the successes of education in Lincolnshire and we can’t wait until next year!
We’ll be posting some photos of the event on our Facebook page, so keep an eye out.
