Dear Parent/Carer,

College System

I am writing to you in order to warmly welcome you and <STUDENT NAME> to Swift College.  The new College system is a dynamic and exciting initiative.  Each student belongs to one of six Colleges, each named after an inspirational Lincolnshire figure.  Each College has its own dedicated College Achievement Team whose primary focus is the achievement and welfare of <STUDENT NAME> and the rest of the students within that College.  These staff members will dedicate themselves to ensure that everything possible is done to see that <STUDENT NAME> sees success and achieves in line with or beyond expectations.

Swift College Achievement Team is as follows:

Head of College:                       Miss F McGrath

College Achievement Lead:       Mr A Bains

College Achievement Manager:  Mrs D O’Brien

College Achievement Mentor:    TBC

College Achievement Administrator:  Mrs T Scattergood

This now means that <STUDENT NAME>, within Swift College, will belong to a wider community of tutor groups from Years 7 to 13 who will work together to support each other in order to be outstanding members of our shared community.  This will not change the day-to-day routines of <STUDENT NAME> with the exception that assemblies will take place within the College, rather than the year group.

From now on, should your child have any query whatsoever, whether relating to academic or pastoral matters, then they would need to first speak to their tutor.  Should their tutor be unavailable then they can speak to the College Administrator who will ensure that a member of the College Achievement Team will assist your child.  From now on the College Achievement Team will deliver all pastoral and academic support for your child.  Should you have any query regarding a pastoral or academic matter relating to your child then please contact the main school reception on 01522 881010 or alternatively email: enquiries@nkacademy.co.uk and we will ensure that your query is dealt with by the College Achievement Team.

Lastly – but by no means least – you will be able to track the outstanding progress and contributions of both <STUDENT NAME> and Swift College via the new ‘Houses’ feature of EPraise as we celebrate and reward excellence across the College.  I look forward to an excellent year for <STUDENT NAME> and please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries whatsoever.

Yours Sincerely,

Miss F McGrath
