We’ve had a great couple of terms in The Student Leadership Team! We have gained many new recruits from Years 7-11 which is really positive! We are always looking for new members so if you want to be involved, meetings are held in G17 on a Friday lunchtime.
Our work on the Eco-garden project has had to slow down slightly due to the winter weather, although we recently took delivery of some small saplings to grow around the edge of the garden. We are hoping to begin a gardening club when the weather picks back up in the spring so keep your eye out for future updates.
We really enjoyed working with Doddington Hall during the Autumn term and creating our ‘Hamlet’ scarecrow for their competition. A lot of us visited all the scarecrows on their front lawn during the half term holiday. We hope to take part again next year.
We have started working with Ms Fox regarding fundraising for the Terry O’ Toole Theatre. As a team we have started drafting ideas for raising funds as we hope to redevelop aspects of it following the improvements to the nearby OneNK Sports Centre.
